It started with a mermaid
I remember seeing The Little Mermaid in theaters for the first time and being amazed at how real it felt. I was certain that when the shark came swimming after Flounder with its wide mouth and hungry eyes that I'd get swallowed up right along with my favorite finned friends. When Ariel hit the first few notes of Part of Your World a few minutes later, I was hooked. I felt the magic of something truly special and instantly became a Disney kid for life. A couple of decades and countless awe-inspiring Disney memories later, I stepped onto Main Street in Disneyland for the first time and knew that somehow, Disney really did find a way to make magic a reality.

Personal
I'm a PNW native who loves the water, mountains, learning new hobbies, and making memories with my family. I love plants, photography, baking cookies, water sports, and coaching soccer. A few fun facts about me: I have four generations of my family living on the same street, and I once went viral for a photoshoot I did of my sister-in-law in a Taco Bell.
Working style
I enjoy having the camaraderie of a high-performing team, and also easily work with a high degree of autonomy and accountability. In groups and teams, I tend to be the reliable one that people can count on to get things done, particularly under difficult circumstances or when the objective may not seem attainable. I've spent several years serving as the right hand and trusted advisor to our head of Information Security, and have been referred to as a "unicorn" for my mastery in leadership, security operations, communications, and executive presence.
Career exploration
Throughout my career, I've attained valuable skills that I lean on daily. Whether it's taking the exceptional customer experience tools I gained as a server in college, the executive communication expectations learned as an Executive Assistant, or the difficult conversations composure I developed as an insider threat responder, every position I've held has equipped me with a variety of tools to be an effective security leader in even the most difficult circumstances.
Security philosophy
I've spent more than a decade gaining experience in information security, data governance, program management, and people development. I'm passionate about fostering a secure, informed, and protected organizational ecosystem, and think it's critical for security to be seen as a trusted partner as opposed to "scary big brother". My approach emphasizes not just on robust security infrastructures, but also an educated and aware workforce that focuses on every organization's primary vulnerability - securing the human.
